Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Prime Minister Truong HoaBinh has applauded close cooperation between the court systems of Vietnam andLaos, at both supreme and provincial levels, while receiving Chief Judge of theLao Supreme People’s Court Khamphanh Sitthidampha in Hanoi on January 5.
The support of Vietnam’s court sector to its Lao counterpart is a vividmanifestation of the special relationship between the two countries’ Parties andStates, the official said.
He affirmed that the Vietnamese Government always backs the bilateral judicialties, contributing to the development in each nation.
The Deputy PM asked the Lao court to continue implementing contents of cooperationagreements reached by the two sides, and organise visits and exchanges forVietnamese and Lao judicial officials.
The Communist Party, State and Government of Vietnam always do their best, inany circumstances, to preserve the traditional relationship and specialsolidarity between Vietnam and Laos, he emphasised.
In reply, Khamphanh Sitthidampha told his host that the Vietnamese and Laocourt sectors have carried a range of cooperation activities with a focus onjudge training, over the past time and increased the exchange of delegations atboth central and local levels.
Hailingthe Vietnamese court sector’s assistance in personnel training, the guest saidten Lao court officials will be sent to Vietnam to attend training courses atthe Vietnam Court Academy in 2018.
On this occasion, Khamphanh Sitthidampha handed over an insignia of the Lao court sector to Deputy PM Binh tohonour his contributions to the formation and development of the Lao People’sSupreme Court.
