Hanoi (VNA) – A tourism promotionevent was held in Hanoi on November 12 with the participation of 30 travelagencies from ten European countries.
At the promotion event, tourism businesses fromnot only Hanoi but also other localities introduced their tourism products and servicesto the European partners.
The municipal Department of Tourism alsoscreened short advertising clips jointly produced by the city and the US CableNews Network (CNN).
This is the second time the Hanoi Department ofTourism has welcomed tourism businesses from Europe, according to thedepartment’s Director Tran Duc Hai.
He said to further increase trade promotion andexchange activities between Hanoi and Europe, the department will continueproviding the best conditions for European travel firms and tourists.
He hoped European enterprises will carry outmore programmes to bring tourists to Hanoi and Vietnam as a whole.
The event in Hanoi is part of the Europeantravel agencies’ fact-finding tour to Hanoi, Ninh Binh and Quang Ninh fromNovember 9-14. The tour is funded by the Hanoi Department of Tourism and thenational flag carrier Vietnam Airlines.
During their stay in Vietnam, the Europeanbusinesses visited popular destinations in Hanoi such as the Mausoleum PresidentHo Chi Minh, Mot Cot (One-Pillar) Pagoda, Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam (Temple ofLiterature and National University), Hoan Kiem (Sword) Lake, Ngoc SonTemple, and Hanoi Old Quarter, among others.
They also explored the Trang An tourism complexand Hang Mua in the northern province of Ninh Binh, and the world naturalheritage site Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh province./.
