Hanoi (VNA) – About 1,4🐟00 doctors and health workers in Indonesia are readyfor the 18th Asian Games (ASIAD 18), which will take place in the country fromAugust🎉 18 to September 2.
IndonesianHealth Minister Nila Moeloek said 21 hospitals, 98 medical stations, 21 clinicsand 25 ambulances are prepared to support the regional Games. The numbers ofhospitals and ambulances may increase based on demand. All thepersonnel and equipment will be sent to host localities, namely Jakarta capitalcity and Palembang city of South Sumatra province, she added. Around11,000 athletes and officials from 45 countries and territories are expected toattend the ASIAD 18. It will feature 462 categories of 40 sports,with 32 Olympic sports and eight non-Olympic, including bowling, diving, iceskating, kabaddi, squash and sepak takaw, along with mechanical sports like jetskiing and paragliding and martial arts such as jujitsu, kurash, pencak silat,sambo and wushu.
