The investigation security agency of the central province of Nghe An’s Police on September 27 arrested Nguyen Viet Dung for conducting propaganda against the State.

Nghe An (VNA) – The investigationsecurity agency of the central province of Nghe An’s Police on September 27arrested Nguyen Viet Dung for conducting propaganda against the State.
Dung, born in 1986, resides in Hau Thanhcommune, Yen Thanh district, Nghe An proviไnce.
He was captured for “conducting propaganda against the Stateof the Socialist Republic of Vietnam” per Article 88 of the country’s PenalCode.
Local police said the arrest was conducted inaccordance with regulations of the Criminal Procedure Code of Vietnam.
They have been completing procedures to launchcriminal p🔯roceedings against Dung and ordered a temporary detention to servethe investigation, prosec𒅌ution, and trial.-VNA
The appeal court of the Supreme People’s Court, during its hearing in central Da Nang city on June 26, rejected the appeal lodged by blogger Truong Duy Nhat and upheld his two-year imprisonment sentence for the charge of "abusing freedoms to infringe upon interests of the State, legitimate rights and interests of organisations and/or citizens."
Blogger Nguyen Huu Vinh and his assistant Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy were imprisoned for five and three years, respectively, on the charge of abusing democratic freedom to infringe on the State interests.
The event, the 12th of its kind jointly, was jointly organised by the Vietnamese Embassy in Belgium and Chris Geyskens, Chairwoman of the Belgium chapter of the Hoi An – Vietnam Association for Victims of AO/Dioxin.

At a review conference held on June 21, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh praised the province’s scientific, coordinated, and flexible approach. He noted that the early completion reflects the strong commitment of local authorities, the business community, philanthropists, and residents in improving housing conditions for disadvantaged groups.
