More efforts to enhance Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership
Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Pham Quang Vinh has highlighted the significance of the development of the Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership in different fields.

Washington D.C (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to the US Pham Quang Vinh has highlighted thesignificance of the development of the Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership indifferent fields.
During his meetingswith representatives of US agencies and friends last week, Vinh also talkedabout the success of high-level visits by leaders of the two nations over thepast three years.
At the meetings withSenator Patrick Leahy and US friends, Vinh thanked them for their valuable contributionsto the enhancement of the comprehensive partnership.
Vinh’s meetings withrepresentatives of the US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) and the US Chamber ofCommerce (USCC) on June 5 and May 31, attracted the participation of manyleading US groups and businesses which are operating in Vietnam.
On this occasion, theUSABC and USCC hosted farewell parties for the ambassador. The two agencieslauded efforts made by the diplomat during his tenure in the US and expressedtheir belief that the Vietnam-US ties will continue to develop strongly in thetime to come.
Vinh assumed the post as Vietnamese Ambassador to the US in lateNovember, 2014. Over the past three years, the Vietnam-US relationship saw progresswith numerous high-level visits, including the visit to the US by GeneralSecretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong in July 2015, theUS visit by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc in May 2017, and the Vietnam visitsby President Donald Trump in November 2017 and President Barack Obama in May2016.-VNA
The US will continue fostering cooperation with Vietnam in defence, search and rescue, disaster relief, maritime security, peacekeeping, and war aftermath settlement, said US Secretary of Defence James Mattis.

Beyond the remarkable 40% increase in bilateral trade over five years, political relations and multilateral interactions, particularly within the CPTPP framework, have remained highly positive.
Known as the “four pillars for Vietnam’s ascend”, the Pobiburo's Resolutions 57, 59, 66, and 68 focus on cultivating a robust national entrepreneurial spirit, unlocking resources for innovation across society, and accelerating the development of digital economy, knowledge-based economy, green economy, and circular economy, propelling Vietnam forward rapidly and firmly on the path of modernisation and international integration.
Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang cleared up deputies' concern regarding how to spur socio-economic growth, renew traditional growth motives and establish new momentum for development.
