The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Soc Trang province, in collaboration with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the Coca-Cola Foundation, organised a conference on January 16 to launch a project on increasing the coastal resilience of the Mekong Delta through mangrove restoration and nature-based solutions in the province.

A seminar took place in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on June 5 to explore the potential of nature-based solutions (NbS) for the sustainable development of the central Truong Son region, one of Asia’s largest continuous natural forest areas facing serious biodiversity loss from climate change and human activities.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Le Minh Hoan on March 21 called on international partners to support the Vietnamese Government in carrying out nature-based agricultural models and projects in the Mekong Delta which has been hard hit by climate change.
