Party leader attends art event marking army’s decade of following Uncle Ho’s teachings

Hanoi (VNA) – The Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence held an art programme in Hanoi on July 3 evening, marking the 10-year review of the army’s implementation of the 12th-tenure Politburo’s Directive No. 05 on promoting the study and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morality, and lifestyle.
Party General Secretary To Lam, who also is also Secretary of the Central Military Commission, attended and chaired the exchange programme.

Blending documentary segments, live on-stage exchanges, and artistic performances featuring a symphony orchestra and prominent Vietnamese artists, the programme vividly depicted the outstanding results of Directive 05’s implementation across the entire army. It showcased the military’s efforts in moral training, exemplary conduct, and innovation, successfully fulfilling its role as a fighting, working, and production force.
The event also affirmed its commitment to building an elite, streamlined, strong and ready combat force, 🐼assisting and protecting the people and upholding the proud title of “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” in the new era./.
In addition to operational reforms, the Central Military Commission and its Standing Committee have taken a proactive role in preparing for the 12th Congress of the Army Party Organisation for the 2025-2030 term, contributing to the drafting of key documents for the 14th National Party Congress.
The Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence paid homage to and reported the army’s achievements to late President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on December 14, in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) and 35th anniversary of the All-People Defence Festival (December 22).
The Party chief attributed the achievements in the first half to the continuous, direct, and comprehensive leadership of the Politburo and the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee, and the close and effective coordination of relevant ministries, sectors and localities.
The Vietnamese Party and State leaders reaffirmed that Vietnam consistently regards the US as one of its strategically important partners, and welcomed the US support for a “strong, independent, self-reliant, and prosperous Vietnam.”
