PM meets Vietnamese delegation to UN, Vietnamese businesses
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited the Vietnamese permanent representative delegation to the UN and met Vietnamese entrepreneurs and intellectuals on May 29 (local time).

New York (VNA) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited the Vietnamese permanent representative delegation to the UN and metVietnamese entrepreneursand intellectuals on May 29 (local time), aspart of his official visit to the US.
During the meeting, AmbassadorNguyen Phuong Nga, Head of Vietnam’s Permanent Mission to the UN, reported the delegation’sperformance since it was established in 1977 in conjunction with Vietnamstarting its UN membership.
The delegation hasfollowed the UN agenda for sustainable development and completed Vietnam’sduties as an active member of the UN, Nga said.
She added that thedelegation also work to support Vietnamese expatriates in New York and boosttrade and cultural exchange between Vietnam and the US.
The PM said the work hascontributed significantly to the implementation of Vietnam’s foreign policy ofmultilateraliation and diversification of foreign relations, and proactive andactive integration into the world.
He urged the delegation to sustain its positive operation and further promoteVietnam’s image to international friends.
The same day, the PM received a number of Vietnamese entrepreneurs and intellectuals inthe US, who expressed their good impression on Vietnam’s global integrationprogress.
They saidthey want to contribute more to the development of Vietnam and its relationswith the US.
PM Phucpraised the expatriate community’s contributions to the host nation’s economyand to bilateral ties.
Stressingthat to Vietnam, they are an indispensable part and important human resources,he vowed to back their contributions to the home country.
