PM pushes for faster progress of 500kW circuit-3 transmission line

Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired ateleconference with ministries, agencies, localities and units on April 1 toreview the progress of the 500kV circuit-3 power transmission line linking Q❀uangTrach in t🎀he central province of Quang Binh and Pho Noi in the northernprovince of Hung Yen.
The nearly 519km-long line has an investment capital of over22.35 trillion VND (929 million USD), comprising four sections, including QuangTrach - Quynh Luu, Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa, Thanh Hoa - Nam Dinh 1 thermal powerplant, and Nam Dinh 1 thermal power plant - Pho Noi. Construction of the transmission line began in October 2023 for somesections and January 2024 for others, with a goal of completion and operationin June 2024. Speaking at the event, PM Chinh hailed ministriesand agencies, especially the Ministry of Industry and Trade, for theiractive role in regularly overseeing and accelerating the project. They were asked to continue working closelytogether to overcome any hurdles and maintain the project's schedule. The PM directed relevant authorities to finalisecompensation policies for affected residents by April 10. He also set deadlinesfor substantial completion of project items by June 20 and full operation no later than June 30./.
Vietnam Electricity (EVN) and its National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) on January 18 simultaneously began the construction of various 500kV circuit-3 transmission lines in the provinces of Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, and Thai Binh.
The National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) on January 26 signed credit contracts worth over 15.6 trillion VND (634 million USD) with five banks to implement projects to build the 500kV circuit 3 transmission line section from Quang Trach to Pho Noi.
