Qatar Airways flights to connect Da Nang with Doha

Hanoi (VNA) – A delegation of the PartyCommittee of central Da Nang city has visited Qatar and had a working sessionwith executives of Qatar Airways to discuss cooperation between the two sides.
Accordingly, Qatar Airways will launch a directair route from Doha to Da Nang starting on December 19 this year. It will offerfour flights a week using aircraft B787 Dreamliner.
Additionally, the airline will support promotingthe city’s tourism, investment and trade on its media channels in one monthsince the route launch. It will also coordinate with Da Nang to organise farmand press trips from potential markets in Europe and the Middle East to thecity and build a communication plan to popularise the air route.
Da Nang International Airport currently handles200 flights per day, including 50 international flights. Foreign visitors tothe city by air mainly come from East Asia, ASEAN countries, the Republic ofKorea, Japan, the US and Europe.
Doha is a major transit point of internationalroutes, so the opening of direct flights from Doha to Da Nang is expected tohelp the Vietnamese city attract more trade partners, investment and touristsfrom the Middle East, Africa, the US and Europe. –VNA
