The number of newly opened securities accounts in Vietnam saw a substantial increase last month, reversing the previous decline in April, according to the Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation.
Vietnam witnessed the addition of 110,761 new securities accounts in April, bringing the total number of domestic securities accounts to over 7.7 million, according to data provided by the Vietnam Securities Depository (VSD).
More than 163,000 new stock trader accounts were created during March this year, an increase of over 50,000 accounts compared to January, marking March the month with the most accounts created in the last six months, according to the Vietnam Securities Depository and Clearing Corporation (VSDC).
Domestic investors opened 88,479 new securities accounts in November, a slight decrease compared to the previous month, according to data from the Vietnam Securities Depository (VSD).
