Singapore, UK enhance cyber space security cooperation
Singapore and the United Kingdom will further cooperation in cyber space security as signed in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during UK Prime Minister David Cameron’s visit to the country.

Singapore and the United Kingdom will further cooperation in cyber space security as signed in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during UK Prime Minister David Cameron’s visit to the country on July 28.
The signing ceremony was held at the Istana and witnessed by Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his UK counterpart David Cameron.
The MoU, signed between the Cyber Security Agency (CSA) of Singapore and the Cabinet Office of the UK, covers collaboration in key areas including cyber security incident response and cyber security talent development.
The two countries will also join hands in cyber research and development with a funding of 3.7 million USD for academic research activities over the next three years.
Within the framework of his visit, the UK Prime Minister met Singaporean President Tony Tan Keng Yam and attended activities related to trade, investment and business promotion between enterprises of the two nations. He also made a speech at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.
Cameron’s visit aims to reaffirm bilateral relations between Singapore and the UK as the two countries are going to celebrate 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year.
Cameron arrived in Singapore on the second stop of his four-day trip to four Southeast Asian countries after he came to Indonesia.-VNA
