Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese students baggedfour medals at the 32nd International Olympiad🅷 in Informatics, the Ministry ofEducatio𝓡n and Training has announced.
Bui Hong Duc, a 12th grader from the High School forGifted Students at the Hanoi University of Science, Vietnam National University,clinched a gold medal and ranked 11th overall at the competition. Meanwhile, Vu Hoang Kien and Le Quang Huy from thesame school both picked up silvers. Tran Quang Thanh, a 12th grader from the High Schoolfor Gifted Students at the Hanoi National University of Education, won a bronze. The contest was held online on September 13-23 and wasthe first time Vietnamese students had competed online. In other recent competitions, Vietnamese studentswon a gold, a silver, and two bronze medals at the European Physics Olympiad,and a gold, four silvers, and a bronze at the Asia-Pacific InformaticsOlympiad. They also claimed three medals at the InternationalBiology Olympiad and triumphed at the International Chemistry Olympiad, withfour golds./.
The 28th Informatics Olympiad for Students, the international programming contest (Procon) Vietnam and the 2019 International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Asia Da Nang Regional Contest concluded on December 6 after three days of competition.
