During the period, Vietnam spent over 7.5 billion USD onimports from Thailand, up 14.3 percent year-on-year, resulting in a deficit of over3.8 billion USD.
In the first eight months of this year, Vietnam’s total import and exportturnover hit 308.07 billion USD, up 13 percent over the same period of 2017. Ofwhich, export turnover was 155.4 billion USD, up 14.5 percent, and import was152.7 billion USD, a rise of 11.6 percent.-VNA
